IMC-Jordan Holds 2008 General Assembly


·                     IMC-Jordan announces excellent progress in many aspects

[Amman, Jordan – September 2009]- IMC-Jordan held its 2008 General Assembly last week at the Bristol Hotel. The administrative, financial and auditor’s reports were discussed and approved for the year 2008. The members were introduced to the newest developments as well as elected a new financial auditor for the Institute. The Assembly was followed by a Ramadan Iftar in honor of the Institute’s members. 

IMC-Jordan proudly announced its achievements for 2008, among which was the increase in membership that exceeded 206 members distributed within its various membership categories, the continued collaboration with Jordan Enterprise, the legislation committee efforts in holding several meetings with government officials to research the framework for legislation and regulation of the management consulting and management training professions. Also, the board of directors’ resolution in establishing an internal audit committee, that was elected from board members to control and oversee the institute’s activities.
IMC-Jordan in 2008 also collaborated with VARCC Arabian Communication, a PR agency, to increase awareness on the organization’s objectives, activities and services. The PR campaign targeted consultants, managers and leaders in the private and public sector specialized in investment and management training.
Strategic partnerships were also created to help fund IMC-Jordan trainings, as IMC-Jordan signed a support agreement with the National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES) to endorse its CM and CVA programs, where by NAFES sponsored 30% of the costs for the eligible fund beneficiaries and IMC-Jordan’s members. The total number of attendees for the various training programs held by IMC-Jordan during 2008 amounted to 190 participants distributed among 15 different specialized trainings and programs.

   Dr. Hamadallah Mubarak, IMC-Jordan Chairman, started the assembly with thanking and showing appreciation to all who supported the Institute, including the Industrial Development Bank, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Jordan Enterprise (JE), The National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES), and to all who provided financial and technical support for the programs throughout the year.

Dr. Mubarak further stated that IMC-Jordan achieved a 33% increase in revenue for the year 2008 compared to 2007. IMC-Jordan has increased its revenue by increasing the number of paid subscription. He commented, “This illustrates that IMC-Jordan has created a strong foothold for the future.”
Dr. Mubarak stated that IMC-Jordan will continue its ongoing success so that it may reach its vision. “We anticipate that our membership will continue to increase and we will continue establishing strategic partnerships to develop IMC-Jordan, so we may reach our full potential in the consulting sector”. IMC-Jordan board of directors also awarded renowned members the fellow membership status, the highest level of membership available, for their continued support and dedication to the institute since its inception, the management consulting and training profession, and the community.  
Lastly, Dr. Mubarak and the board of directors thanked the auditing company (BDO- Nobany and Partners) for their continued efforts and support to IMC- Jordan.
